Gaucher disease is a rare, progressive, inherited, genetic condition that causes a fatty substance, called glucosylceramide (gloo-ko-sil-saramide, also called GL-1), to build up in various tissues including liver, spleen, and bone marrow.
Cerezyme is given as an IV infusion over 1-2 hours. Your physician will determine how often you will need an infusion.
