Cerezyme
Cerezyme is a hydrolytic lysosomal glucocerebrosidase-specific enzyme indicated for treatment of adults and pediatric patients 2 years of age and older with Type 1 Gaucher disease that results in one or more of the following conditions: anemia, thrombocytopenia, bone disease, hepatomegaly or splenomegaly.
Gaucher disease is a rare, progressive, inherited, genetic condition that causes a fatty substance, called glucosylceramide (gloo-ko-sil-saramide, also called GL-1), to build up in various tissues including liver, spleen, and bone marrow.
Administration Information
Cerezyme is given as an IV infusion over 1-2 hours. Your physician will determine how often you will need an infusion.
